Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026
This page explains what cookies and similar storage technologies we use on partcycle.co.uk, and why.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember things like your login, your basket contents, and your preferences across pages.
"Similar technologies" includes localStorage and sessionStorage — these work like cookies but are stored differently. We use both.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for the site to function. They can't be turned off without breaking core features.
- Authentication tokens — keep you logged in across pages (provided by Supabase)
- Basket contents — stored in localStorage so your basket survives page reloads
- Vehicle lookup — stored in sessionStorage so the catalogue knows which vehicle you've selected
- CSRF protection — security tokens that prevent cross-site attacks
Functional
These improve your experience but aren't strictly required:
- Form pre-fill — remembers your delivery address for next time
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics in the future to understand how the site is used. These will not track you across other sites or build a profile of you. We do not currently set analytics cookies.
Marketing
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not share data with ad networks.
Third parties that may set cookies
The site uses these third-party services, which may set their own cookies:
- Cloudflare (hosting and security) — sets cookies for bot detection and DDoS protection
- Supabase (authentication) — sets session cookies
- Google Fonts (typography) — does not set cookies but loads fonts from Google's servers
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage and delete cookies through their settings. Be aware that disabling strictly-necessary cookies will prevent the site from working properly — you won't be able to log in, save items, or check out.
To clear data stored by this site:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The "last updated" date at the top shows the most recent version.
